How to Grow Your Pet’s TikTok Account Fast
You came here because you want to know how much money you can legitimately make with 10,000 followers on TikTok as a pet influencer!
Before I go into detail about how much I am currently making on TikTok with 10,000 followers, I want to explain my personal experience with how I grew my pet influencer account from 0 to 10k followers in less than 3 weeks.
Months ago I had tried to create a TikTok account on my personal brand’s account and it has been really difficult to grow a following. It’s been multiple months and at the time of writing this article, I still have about 44 followers.
I saw tons of cats, dogs, and pets on TikTok with millions of followers and thought “this looks doable, might as well try it!”. I also wanted to see if the amount of views I was getting was niche-specific or not.
I went ahead and made a TikTok account for my cat since I had dozens of funny videos already on my phone. You can learn more about starting a pet’s influencer account here!
The first TikTok I posted as a pet influencer was on September 18, 2021. My first “viral” TikTok occurred only a few days after on September 25. From there I was monetized through TikTok’s Creator Fund on October 11, 2021.
If you do the math, that is approximately 2 1/2 weeks or 17 days that it took to get from zero to 10,000 followers on my pet’s TikTok account.
How To Get Paid on TikTok as a Pet Influencer
You came here to learn how much you can get paid using your dog or cat as an influencer on TikTok.
The first step is to understand how you can get paid!
TikTok’s Creator Fund
The Creator Fund is essentially a massive fund of money that incentivizes people to make viral content. This does not place ads on your TikToks. Instead, it literally just pays you to create content that people want to share and keeps people on the platform.
It is essential for your pet account’s TikTok content to be original (not stolen from other accounts) and engaging.
Another factor to note is that your TikTok account needs to be set as a “Personal” account in order to get the option to sign up for monetization through the Creator Fund. You can not be under a “Business” account or the option will not show up in order to sign up.
How to Get Your Pet’s TikTok Account Monetized
If you are someone who wants to be a pet influencer this is how you’re going to start making money!
In order for your pet to begin making money on TikTok you need a MINIMUM of 10 thousand followers. Additionally, you’ll need 100,000 views within one month.
Lastly, you must be over the age of 18 to sign up by yourself.
How Much Can I Make On TikTok Using My Pet?
Of course, you want to know how much money you can realistically make with only 10,000 followers on TikTok!
If you view my video on YouTube that details my TikTok payments, you’ll see screenshots of the payment amounts. In this article, I will list out and explain the payment amounts.
The first thing to note is that TikTok Creator Fund payments are really inconsistent. You get paid daily but the amount you get paid fluctuates day by day.
The amount you get paid by TikTok’s Creator Fund is based on views and the quality of virality of the video. (This means if your TikTok gets a lot of engagement such as shares, Stiches, Duets, Likes, and Comments).
One day you may have a TikTok that does well and gets you tens of thousands of views. But the next day you could barely get a few views. You’d get paid much more on that first day compared to the second.
As an example to compare your pet influencer account to, my highest paid date on TikTok using the Creator Fund with around 10k followers was $9.26. My lowest pay date was $2.72.
This averages around $4 to $5 a day as a pet influencer on TikTok’s Creator Fund with only 10k followers!
This is enough to buy a coffee every day or to save up for a larger purchase by the end of the month.
Is It Worth Trying To Monetize Your Pet on TikTok?
As someone who may be starting a new account, you may be wondering if it will be worth it to start a TikTok account to become a pet influencer.
Here are a few reasons I recommend trying to monetize your pet on TikTok:
- Pet videos can rank quickly and get followers fast
- If you have 20 minutes of free time a day to edit and post videos on your phone
- If you want to earn around $5 a day to begin
- If you are okay with knowing that your account earns less now but can earn more later on
Here are a few reasons I would NOT recommend trying to monetize your pet on TikTok:
- You have a low-quality phone camera
- You don’t have time or skill to edit videos (I use a free app called InShot)
- You want to earn much more money right now and don’t have time to wait for your pet’s digital fame to grow
If you are looking to make a little bit of extra money then creating a pet influencer account on TikTok and monetizing through the Creator Fund is a fantastic way to make extra passive income!
Considering it took less than three weeks of posting one to two TikToks a day to achieve monetization, I figured that this is a pretty return on my time investment.
Do keep in mind that if the idea of making $5 a day is too small of an amount, then this may not be a good option for you. Yet, this is a great place to start because all you need is 10k TikTok followers to begin and pet accounts can grow fast!
Not just that, but you also can take advantage of unique brand and affiliate deals after getting past 10k TikTok followers! Once I hit 10,000 followers, I begin getting emails to make TikTok reviews of products that were sent to me for free. This is another unique bonus that you can begin taking advantage of after you get monetized. (Make sure you put an email or contact info in your bio so companies can reach out to you!)
Summary
If you are planning on starting a TikTok account to get your pet famous, it is important to know what you’re getting yourself into! You may be weeks away from earning money off your pet using the Creator Fund.
What would you do with an extra $200-$300 a month? The TikTok Creator Fund is likely going to pay you only a few dollars a day with 10k followers but this may be enough to get you motivated and keep you going!
